"One of the Episodes" :) of the second season of the "The Crown" TV drama visited Korda, to record ADR for Peter Barbinek and Eliza Sodro. 

Among Justin, Nick, Martin and the engineer Gibran at Boompost London, my "old" mate and colleague for over 5 years (?) Kallis Shamaris supervised the session via Source Connect.

EdiPrompt is an application that allows ADR and foley recordists to cue their actor or artist in a way that they are most comfortable with. EdiPrompt does this by providing a range of highly customisable visual and audio cues.

EdiPrompt was developed by Mark Franken the founder and chief developer at an Australian company soundsinsync.

Proud to be - at least as of today - the only user of this fantastic software in Hungary.

At this stage only my international clients use it. The quickest way to load cues into the EdiPrompt Cue List window is to create or import third-party cues with their Emmy® award-winning application EdiCue.

The application EdiLoad can also be used in conjunction with EdiPrompt to generate files that trigger visual cues at picture and scene change points for foley walkers.

Spent a couple of days doing ADR with a fantastic group of actors and actresses for the "The Terror" TV drama. One of them, Paul Ready (playing Henry Goodsir) who was filming in Hungary, "decided to stand with me" :)

Jeff Richardson - one of the most sought after Supervising Sound Editor - flew in from London to personally supervise the recordings. Thank You All.

Luke Evans (Gaston - "Beauty and the Beast" 2017) who's shooting in Hungary right now, came to Korda to recorded several character voices for a successful animated series titled: Robot Chicken. 

Working with Luke was every engineers dream. He was witty, patient, friendly and accommodating. We were connected via Skype with "Stoopid Buddy Stoodios" in Burbank, CA, USA (http://www.leagueofbuddies.com/) and had a ball :))

Ian Hart graced Korda's ADR stage with his presence (Korda Studios - www.kordastudio.hu) to re-record some lines for his "The Last Kingdom" role and we had a great time. (as we always do :) Some people know Ian (beside his other superb performances) as Professor Quirinus Quirrell from the 2001 hit, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone". He is an awesome guy, who's tremendously passionate about his "TLK" TV character, Beocca. Also, someone, who tells it like it is. (Just ask the directors Richard Senior and Jamie Donoughue and our Supervising Sound Editor Jack Gillies... ;))

...on the technical side...for remote monitoring, we were connected via Source Connect with "Jumbuck" in London. (http://www.jumbuck.co.uk/) ...for ADR wipes I was using soundinsync's Ediprompt.

Just before Christmas I've completed the sound design, sound editorial and Final Mix/Mastering for a Puppetworks Animation Studio (Budapest-Hungary) created "Lords Mobile" project. World class visuals, were complemented by matching audio ;)

In 2016 the students of ELTE/BFA (Budapest Film Academy) made four shorts. As it happened in the previous years, the scripts grabbed the attention of some of Hungary's leading actors and actresses. This year - just to name a few - Judit Pogany, Gabriella Hamori, Peter Rudolf and Gabor Reviczky decided to act in them.

​

Due to extremely short deadline (and budgetary constraints :) the quality location sound allowed me to use only the necessary amount of noise reduction (on the most problematic files/segments) apply frequency response modifications sporadically, more extensively though sound editorial tricks to salvage about a dozen dialogues - which normally would be ADR'd and a minimalist sweetening approach (adding mainly ambiance as needed - to add more realism and smooth cuts within scenes with vastly different acoustic fingerprints) and of course Hungary's upcoming film soundtrack composer Gabor Nagysolymosi's fantastic music score.

The final mixes's review and mastering was done at Korda's Wild Tracks studios. Special thanks for Korda's Managing Director Gyorgy Rajnai for his contribution for providing the facility virtually for free.

In the documentary "Sensucht nach Freiheit" the artist, musician and filmmaker Leslie Mandoki - born in Hungary, but as a German citizen currently living in Germany - interviews some of the "pesti sracok" (boys of Pest) - heroes of the October 23rd 1956 Hungarian Revolution - along with known German and Hungarian public figures, politicians and musicians about what this historical event means to them and what they think or believe how this armed conflict shaped Europe and the rest of the world ever since. 

​

During the making of these versions, the process involved coordinating the work of several Hungarian, German and English language translators, lecturers, over a dozen local and foreign actors and actresses and three sound studios to record, edit and mix/master the VO's with the interviews, SFX and music from the original German version.

Olaf is a larger than life (literally :) man with a great sense of humor, talent and personality. (Also, one of the most recognized voice in Iceland, because of his appearance in countless commercials) We had a great time recording his character Credence.

Recording Jack an upcoming star who made his marks in nearly two dozen films already was awesome. Very accommodating, humble but a real pro. Special thanks to her Mum, Tara for her kindness, who - as the director of "Anabasis Films Limited - was attending the session. Listening Jim's directing Jack over Source Connect from Ireland was a a blast and reassured me, that the "BIG" ones are indeed in the league of their own...Again, thanks for all and of course a high five for my colleagues Peter and Robert at "Windmill Lane Studios" in Dublin.

It was great recording some of the "The Martian's" lead cast's ADR: Matt Damon, Kate Mara, Aksel Hennie, Mike Pena, Benedict Wong in July 2015 with Supervising Sound Editor Oliver Tarnay, Film Editor Pietro Scalia and Director Ridley Scott "running the show" ;)
